Once
upon a time The Byzantians was called, the nine islands
of the district of Istanbul the Prince Island, because it was

Büyük ada , the largest of the Prince Island was then called Prinkipo
or Pityoussa.
The
island wre taken by Mehmet The Conqueror, during the siege on
Constantinopel. Today, the island are conquered everday by tourists
who arrive with ferry lines from both parts of the city. Büyük
ada stretches in the North-Souht direction of the Marmara Sea
and consists of two hills .Important tourist attractions are the
